Default '05 GT died hard.

On the Interstategoing exit to exit to get home for lunch. I took the on-ramp and got up on the Interstate when this lime green GT rides up on my ***. I'm sure he thought I was a slower Trans Am the way he was smiling. At a 65 mph roll, I could barely get away from this guy ... definitely was not stock. At 125 mph, I only had him by about a car length. This dude has like major nitrous or a supercharger or a serious engine rebuild. I've not even had an '03 or '04 Cobra yet that has beat me and I've raced several.

We get off the next exit ramp and he's in the left lane and we're sitting at the light getting ready to turn left onto the 4-lane. The second the light turns green, we both rip into the left turn and I kill the living SH#T out of him and I'm in the RIGHT lane. He couldn't believe I ripped his *** the way I did, but, unlike a lot of Stang driver's I've raced, he smiles and gives me a thumb-up at the light as he's turning off.

I tried talking to an 05' GT driver the other night after a race and he wouldnt even look over at me. Hate it when that happens

left hand turn...right lane is the outside lane, so in theory the left lane should be quicker ...

Nice Run man! It's a lot more fun racing someone who doesn't have an attitude.

The first time, from a 65 mph ROLL, this dude twice wouldn't wave back when I barely could pull on him. But, second time around when I handed him his *** BAD, from a dig, well, he was cool about it and smiled and waved. It's like once he thought he could get me from a dig and I blistered his *** ... the realization set in on him and only then did he wave back. I think he didn't respect the power of the LS1 and then he changed his mind ... LOL!!!

Just wondering, is it possible he was on the throttle from the 65 MPH roll but he wasn't on the throttle from a stop?

I love when someone modified thinks they're picking on someone stock... and then finds out they're not. haha.

I can't wait for my first race when I pull up next to a viper, supra or cobra and they hear my car through my STOCK exhaust. Hard to hear the turbo until I shift. Then they hear the BOV and they're like, "WTF? ...****."

I'm laughing SO hard ... thanks Rich and to everyone else, that '05 GT I believe probably WAS hittin' a hundred shot from the 65 mph roll. Cause from a dig, I smashed him like a fly, man ... ROFLMAO .. it's funny because of what was said. My car IS stock-looking and I've kept it that way intentionally for guys like the Mustang dude.

He was cool about it, but, not until I killed him so bad. With a hundred shot and near-stock, he would have been just a little bit less powerful, which was the case up on the Interstate. I was impressed with his car, so, he should have left me alone, but, NOOOO, he had to come get some ALL-MOTOR LS1!!!! Bet he don't 'get some' like that no more!

... laughing twice as hard. I'm in the floor!!!! Hey guys/gals, just so you know, I'm as down-to-earth as anyone can be ... just having a lot of fun with this. You folks make it a real blast. Thanks for the friendship and for your replies.

TIT Bar just likes the word stock, just check his sig.

Also your car is built for a dig. His mustang was most likely a stick which is why he was better from a roll.

yeah ... sometimes I wish I still had the 3.23 gears when I'm racing from a roll at higher speeds. Down low, I can't take advantage of the 3.73's ... not enough traction in first gear. I'm thinking about doing a 100 wet shot for those high-speed rolls. Then, I'll talk about my STOCK LS1 ... hehehe!!! I'm with TIT Bar
