God I miss my 1997 383 DFI N20 3850lb. 10.50@127 Firehawk.

Thats ME driving and my good buddy Sal Zaino in pass seat comming back from the Firehawk Nationals.I gotta tell ya,theres nothing like a full weight 10 Sec Street Car that can go 800 miles for a road trip :D

I shouldve never sold it..

Hey you didn't sell that to a guy that was from pittsburge did you?

He bought the car from the dealer that bought it off me.Stropes Speed screwed the whole up car after he took it to them..I know he was running it for a while and then it BOOOMED after they tuned it.

I think he sold it to someone with a stock engine in it after that mishap and someone bought the 383,It was in the April 98 Issue of HTP before I sold it.Abe Bergian took the pics and did the article on it..

I loved that car,it was sooooo streetable...

I think thats the one. I remember it being at a dealer cause I saw it in the autotrader. The guy that bought was a friend of a friend said that after he bought it the guy who built(being you) wanted to buy it back. I'll tell you what that car was a bad ASS car. He use to bring it to my friends house all the time. I think it had like a 3 stage nitrous on it right? He use to race in Philly alot and whooped some ass with out useing the juice.

The car never caused me one problem,it was a true 10 SEC Street Car,AC,Pw everything and ran on 17in wheels w/Dr's too.Yep me and girlie broke up 2 months after I traded it and I was too late to buy it back because he put a deposit on it.

I couldve bought it back for 1000 more but it was to too late.I had talked to them about week after trading it and they said let us make a grand and u can have it back so I thought about it and by the time I went back he had already made the deal.

I miss my Hawk....
I'll get a GTO in another 6 or 7 months and that'll hold me over for a few yrs.
Then I'll have 2 Pontiacs,a DD and a 10SEC Beast :)

Yeah I can see why you miss the car. It was a bad ass car. Hey you think you can tune a turbo LS1?
