Ahh.... someone who is doing it the "ol' fashioned" way(heads....then a cam chosen to work WITH the heads)
Lot's of good(proven)cams out there that will work. Talk to the vendor of your choice and give him all the pertinent head specs. Then you can decide on cam specs to compliment the heads giving you a "matched" combo.
IMHO...this is how some guys are making more power than Joe Blow who just buys the latest/greatest parts and can't understand why he came up 20-30 rwhp short of the guy he copied.
Or.... just buy an F13 and call it a day.....

When I bought my AS 5.3 Stg II heads, Jay at Absolute recommended a Comp Cam 230/230 .591/.591 XER 112 + 2. On APE's Mustang Dyno my combo made 390HP @ 6200 & 360 TQ @ 4900. On a Dynojet that would be close to 430HP, & 390TQ. Flow #'s for the Heads according to the flow sheet Jay provided are as follows:
lift Intake Exhaust
0.200 147 117
0.300 205 171
0.400 257 204
0.450 275 214
0.500 291 222
0.550 302 224
0.600 310 229
My criteria for the recommended cam was too make as much power as possible, with out Fly cutting the pistons, and with out the car being too shakey at idle. It idles only a little bit rougher than my previous MTI B1 Cam.

Those are my results with Stage II 5.3's and the FMS F11 (228/230 .576/.595 112 LSA). It made very good power in a very streetable RPM range.
