Ty, you cant go by dynos...Just stop worrying about how much power its going to make on the dyno and take it to the track and see what it will do...The T-rex is a HUGE cam for any 346 car...I hope you arent going to be daily driving it with an a4 car...

You can get away with a huge cam on a 6 speed, still yet this is a HUGE cam...I personally have an X1 cam in my car from MTI (230 227 112lsa) and I wouldnt go any bigger. It cams its *** off but sounds nice... I dont drive this car daily and like i said I wouldnt go any bigger. I still have minimal surge under certain cituations...If want a good daily driver with good power I would stay in the 220's-230 max intake side range. My buddies full weight Trans am (3750 #'s with him in it) with a MTI c2 cam (224-224 114) along with some decent ported 241 casting heads went 10.7's on motor...Just shows you that a huge cam isnt the answer all the time...Its about your setup/combo that makes the car, not the best of everything that is out...

I've hit 426rwhp unlocked on my X3 cammed C5 w/4.10s, so 440+ locked up should be doable. That was with light wheels, small and tight converter (vig 2400) and old AS 5.3 heads, LS6 intake and shaner TB. The big stall might rob a little more power.

good luck on 450.....that cam was meant for stock heads and big power...you're looking at the wrong cam for huge power N/A if you want ported heads. fm13, fm14, tsp 233, mti x1, all good cams to make great power with ported heads. HUUUGE cams are HUUUUGE and that means very slim p2v clearance....not good for ported heads. keep that in mind.

Possibly, you could reach yuor goal with good ported heads, right CR and quench, all the accomating mods including your 90/90 setup. You don't see to many A4's running 450 whp around. I did 430 whp without the 90/90 setup on some old AS 5.7 heads.
If I were from Texas though, I would probably have dyno'd 460 whp and ran low 10's with no problem, even with a 4000 pound car, lol! Just being sarcastic!

I did 432/382 unlocked with my A4 TREX and TEA 1.5 5.3s. I had the stock water pump, LS6 intake, and full belt. That was also through 3.73s and a TP4400. Just to let you know how accurate the dyno was I trapped 96.31 MPH in the 1/8th with the same at roughly 3500lbs and street tires.
That pass was my second and toasted my posi . The first pass I trapped 95.61

It is possible to DD the T-rex, but its all in the tune and what you can handle. I had my Trex on my stock block, it would surge like a **** on start-up then would be fine after a little warm-up. The bad thing about this cam..no one wants to race you at red light sounding like a promod...The Good thing about the cam..pulls really hard up top..add a little spray...and you never be late for again! lol

the T-rex with a 125 sounds like a good idea.. i just figured that with its LSA the NO2 wouldnt help it much.

I did 582.3/486.2 on a TNT 150 with my TREX. It is a good cam on the jug. I have seen that the LG X4 is good on the jug/motor too though and it is a bit smaller...
