Anyone else run a new R32?
I was playing around with this R32 on the freeway and he kept up right at my door the whole time... til about 140. I'm curious... what the hell are these things putting down? This ones plate said 24V VR6 ... sounded pretty mean from an import. Also sounded like it had a turbo.. am I crazy or are they actually pretty fast? The guy driving it was a fuc*ing idiot... almost made 2 SUV's crash. So anyways, I was just curious if anyone else in Orange County knows this kid or anyone know about these cars. I was impressed .

The VW R32's are available in 4 stages, base, 1,2, and 3. I cant remember the exact details so ill try, you might of ran a base model with a couple upgrades.
Edit, found it in motor trend
Base model 241hp 1/4=14.5@95
Stage 1 400hp
Stage 2 550hp
Stage 3 600hp
Motor trend pulled a 11.4@120 with the Stage 2. 0-60mph at 3.2
Heres a clip of the add,
We can't wait for VW's new 241-horse, all-wheel-drive R32 to hit the American marketplace. HPA Motorsports couldn't wait, either. It's already developed, tested, and certified three positively wicked versions of its R32 turbocharged tuner packages: a 400-horsepower Stage I, a 550-horsepower Stage II, and a full commando 600-horsepower Stage III. We recently tested the Stage II and were delightfully shocked--but your conscience and pocketbook should dictate what's right for you.
How "shocking" can a V-6 Volkswagen really be? How about 0-to-60 mph in 3.2 seconds? The quarter mile in 11.49? A 600-foot slalom in a Mitsu Evo-like 71 mph? During official German TUV government testing, the HPA R32 topped out at 202.6 mph. You read that correctly

Good luck running across any of the Stage 1,2,or 3. The price on them so high there not worth it at all. You will probably end up just seeing Base models with mods trying to be like a Stage model.

I live in Orange County, the city of mom and dads who buy their sons M3's on their 16th birthday just cause they can't do anything for themselves. I would almost bet money this one was a stage * or something... it was mean as hell. Anyways, anyone around OC ever see him ask him wtf he has done... lol (24V VR6) is his plates. He lives in Mission Viejo so... maybe on Tuesday a group of us can hit up Fuddruckers? I'll be there around 5 or so with my white SS if anyone else wants to go
