Default Cam-only 99 SS vs. H/C/I/n2o LT1 and 2.80 Cobra

Ran a couple of local guys on the highway. One is a heads/cam/intake/stall LT1 with a NX 150 shot, lots of suspension, etc. The other is an 03/4 Cobra vert with a 2.80 pulley and bolt-ons. The LT1 went 11.70's before the heads/intake, no times yet with them on. The Cobra hasn't been to the track.

My mods are in sig.

Results were about what I expected. With the LT1, it was reasonably close through 3rd, once I hit 4th he really started pulling away until we let out at 120, he was a car, car and a half ahead.

I pulled on the Cobra then we kind of leveled out on the top end... those things pull hard up top.

Those are slow shifts? Granted I'm not the best driver in the world, but I hardly think those were slow.

Actually bro...they were a little slow. Doesn't sound like you were powershifting.
No big deal though. Nice run and thanks for posting up the vid.

Oh, I don't powershift. I've broken one tranny already and I'd prefer not to break another.

So for non-powershifts, how were they? I need feedback, lol.

Very nice work.

I'm not sure I agree with the "from a dig he's get murdered thing" but nice vid. That was a damned good race. Can't win 'em all unfortunately.

I hate that video, it's nice but show me a heads and cam car tuned to 525 hp. Maybe 400 if your lucky with lingenfelter. The murdered statement is bs too, hhhmm solid axle, irs, wieght difference, you figure it out. I love the cobras but owners like that I just want to slap.

I wasn't meaning it in a bad way or anything but I was only saying because I powershift every now & it doesn't sound the way yours did. Nothing bad about it.....My shifts are kinda like that video that was provided as a "lesson" but I let off the gas a little, I don't leave it floored while I "dab" the clutch which is what the shifting in the video sounded like.....

It's cool man, I was just being sensitive. Always room for improvement I suppose!
