Default Ported LS6 Heads vs AFR 205 Heads??

Which would you suggest, Ported LS6 Heads or AFR 205 Heads. If you go with the LS6 heads do you get them polished? Is there a power difference? What are the advantages of going with one over the other.
Your help would be greatly appreciated

thanks :

I think i would depend on what your doing with the car.
A car that does mostly street action, definatly AFR, but
a drag monster would probably be better off with killer LS6
heads. Now worked AFR heads might be a different story,
although Tony says youll have no warranty if another machine
shop works them.

Default ls6 heads

i would run the ls6 heads if they are ported by someone who knows what they are doing. i've seen ls6 heads flow 360 and that's alot better than any afr head i've seen.

Good ported LS6s will perform better than out of the box CNC AFR 205s...provided you get them done by a great porter..like Rapid or MTI.
To avoid mistakes get the AFRs and sleep better.

For some reason I do not see the need for flow numbers over .600" lift since most LS1 cams (especially those expected to have any street manners) do not have that much lift. Unless you are building a race only motor that will never see street time.
I say go with the AFR 205 and if you are loosing 10-20 cfm over some worked LS6 heads, enjoy the better torque that the small AFR ports have.

Question is what works better with the intakes that are currently being used:

LSX, LS6 intake...

The AFR's don't seem to be doing bad at all and delivering some heavy numbers
for moderate camshaft configurations ( IE: 224@.05" )...
