Default 4.10 gear question?

in 6th gear at 70mph my tach reads 1800 is that right i changed the ratio with my efilive but it just doesn't look right also i have changed from 16 x8 wheels to 17x9.5 would that make difference with computer thanx in advance

An M6 has a .5 ratio 6th gear. According to my spreadsheet, you should be turning 1880 rpm @ 70mph. My A4 turns close to 2500 in 4th gear, and it's .7 ratio. This is with stock 25.6" tires.

Sounds about right - you can measure the exact tire diameter and check it against the calculator at www.f-body.org/gears/ Even when replacing the stock tires with the same size the diameter can change a little from manufacturer to manufacturer.

You should be okay. My Predator gives me a higher rpm number than the 'idiot light' OEM tach (they are not that good).
