Default First try with M/T drag radials on m6

Well untill now, my best pass has been on et streets of 11.56 @ 119 mph with a 1.63 60 ft before Futrals tuned it. Then I went to the track on Nittos after tuning and it ran 11.59@ 120 with a 1.64 60 ft on 315x35x17 Nittos. Average passes on the Nittos were 1.68's.
TOnight I went to No Problem raceway and on the first pass with the m/t drag radials 255x50x16's, I left at 4000 to get the feel and the car bogged to a 1.68 and ran 11.65 @ 119.1 mph. Second pass , I left at 6000 rpms but did not do a good enough burnout (These tires like to be hot) and the car spun to a 1.68 but ran 11.55 @ 119.82 mph .
I did a good burnout and left at 6000 rpms on the 3rd pass and the car responded with a 1.61 (best up to this point ever) and ran 11.439 @ 120.37 mph . I could only dial in at 11.50 with out a cage so I did my burnout and staged, redlighted so I ran it out the back door to run a 11.438 with a 1.593 60 ft.( newe best again) at 120.36 mph.

I am verry happy with these tires and will tell all you guys running slicks to not be skeered to try some on your cars.
THey are Bad ***.

The Da at 8 pm was -191 feet when my last to GOod passes were made so weather was good but not as good as we had been seeing earlier this month and last month.

I still will always run the 315 Nittos as my daily driver wheels and for show appeal but for the track, The m/t make an *** out of the Nittos . Granted , I have always done great with Nittos and as far as I know with a 6 spd 1.64 is the quickest yet on them. They are a lot softer tehn a Nitto and will wear out like a slick if you drive on them. THey even out do the et streets in every way . Drive straighter , hook better, and make more mph because of the radial design.

Rodney, They hook awsome but I can say one thing about them. THEY ARE FREAKIN HEAVY!!!!!!

I weighed them on 16 inch chrome ta wheels and the combo weighed in at 51 lbs
I then weighed one of my 315x35x17 Nittos on my Forgeline rs wheels and it wheighed in at 45 lbs. A freakin 16 heavier then a 17

Sweet, great runs!! They seem to be working for me also! Good tire IMO. I pulled a 1.49 on them tonight in a full weight car. I was SHOCKED!

Good to hear these are working great. I have a patir of 255's and can't wait to try them out on my M6. About the 16s out weighing the 17s, you are comparing a forged wheel to a cast wheel. There is a big difference there too, and the 255/50 is going to have more sidewall too.

I was curious to if the 275 MTs would fit on a 17x11 ZR1 and they do. Per MT's website the tread is 10.5 inch and the tire is 11 inches wide. Well I purchased a new set of 17x11 ZR1's and along with 275 MTs. The tires fit flush. I mean they just fit. I will take some pics tomorrow, but the only thing I would not want to do is hit a corner at 80mph plus since 275's are not actually for these wheels. I hope MT makes 315/35/17's. They would sell a ton of them..
