Default Help with NX bottle heater

The pressure switch on my NX bottle heater doesnt seem to be working. I was checking to see if it works, and wired it up as the instructions showed. The heater did not get warm when I activated it. If I bypassed the pressure switch the heater worked fine. I hooked up the pressure switch to an ohm meter and it read infinate resistance (open). The bottle is empty, does the switch have to see some kind of pressure to work? Any help is greatly appreaciated. Thanks,
Andy

Hey Andy the switch is bad. It should have continuity right out of the box. Any pressure below 900 and the contacts are suppose to be closed. If it is a new unit I will warranty the switch.

It is not new. How do you think it went bad? Do you think I can open it up and fix it?

not sure parts can just go bad. Most of the time when a unit goes bad it is do to over amping the part. It is a must to hook that switch through the low amp side of the relay.

The part is not repairable being epoxied in once bad its junk.
