I Just Want A Couple Opinons On These Wheels
I am going to buy some rims in the next month for my 2000 SS. Will I be able to fit 17X10's all the way around comfortably? Or would I be better off going with 17X8's in the front and 17X10's in the rear? Also, what size tire would go well with either rim choice? I really appreciate any help. Thanks!

i've got 17x9.5 up front with a 275 tire, not issues, even with a eibach sportline kit. i have 18x10.5 in the rear with a 285 tire, could go up to a 305-515, looks great, no fitment issues. what kind of wheels you looking for?

my homeboy is runnin Smoothie II 17 by 10 all around and they fit good, tires size is 275 40 in front and 315 35 in the back ...they look good you cant even tell they are 10 up front so i think you should get 17 by 10 all around
17 by 8 is just tooooooooooo small for an f-body

17x8 isn't too small for an f-body. Stock wheels are 8" wide. I had 18x8s on my Formula and it looked great.
From the outside, you can't tell the difference between an 8 or 10 wide wheel. Our wheels have the additional width on the backside of the wheel.
tires would be cheaper with 8s. Steering would take less effort also.

My stock SS wheels im pretty sure are 9" wide already. They are 17's right now. As long as I know 17X10's with a 285/40 will fit all the way around, I will go with those. Thanks for everyones input.
