i just had a tci ssf3500 3:73 gear , shift kit and a cooler and you can not feel the trans shift until it goes into drive it is like it slips until it goes into drive

i have driven cars with stalls this big before and they done the same thing but i figured thise one would be a little tighter than that

from what i have read they siad you would barely noticew it with a 3 73 gear but you can REALLY tell it is there

is this right or is something wrong?

at what point when power breaking dose your tires start to break loose? I think my tci ssf breaks the tires around 2700-2900 rpms if its more then that you may have a fin laying down thats what happend to my vige the stall went from a 3200 to a 5000...

What you're experiencing seems to be typical for a lot of guys after installing a higher stall TC. There have been many comments about this in past threads, which is one of the reasons I decided to have the Transgo shift kit installed with my SF3000. Shifts are quick, crisp, and firm, without being harsh. Lock-up is also very positive. The issue you describe is one of several that convinced me to do the Transgo kit, and I'm glad I did (contrary to what you might read in other currently active threads).

the "drive" you are feeling is lockup most likely. either adjust via computer or shift kit, it will allevaite the sloppiness.

how does it shift wot (what really matters...)?

i have a trans go shift kit in it already but what it was doing is not locking up until drive and jason said that was normal
