12 Second Club - Who has ran 12's stock or minor mods???

Title say's it. Has anyone in here ran a 12 second pass on a stock setup or with minor mods such as catback maybe air induction.

So far I am stock. I am upgrading to a loumouth next week and maybe SLP cold air, and I am hoping to get into the 12 sec mark. My best so far was 13.2...but that was also on a very humid day after a 2 hour drive with poor track conditions. I think I got a chance, any one else done it (excluding vettes)???

air lid/cutout by passing the stock muffler, stock cats/manifolds and y, stock stall, gear, motor, 12.80 at 107, at the time just had the sparetire/jack removed. airlid prolly wasn't worth much at all.. cutout prolly added a lil top end mph, but i didn't pick up anything at the local 1/8th mile tracks with it after i got it put on before i ran the 1/4.

My buddy ran a 12.6@110 with home ported Maf ends, home ported throttle body, loudmouth, stock lid and some home made ram air tubes that mount into the front bumper on pilot sport tires. This was in an 01 Z28 A4 car with the STOCK stall as well...

12.9 with lid, cutout, polished maf and tb, ls1 edit, Nittos

I think the Nittos were the best mod droped like almost a sec off et

you got 3 pretty good mods, cutout, ls1 edit, and nittos-which probably drop at least .05 of the 1/4 time w/o nittos. I want to make mine with only the cat-back, in fact that is prob the only thing I will do to the car.

I was going to make a thread about my first time out but this works better I guess. I have a whisper lid and I removed the jack and spare tyre, other than that its stock. 12.98@110 with a 2.2 60' (Yoko ES100's). The car has the SLP D/D exaust, no T-tops, and the bilstien option. I only got to run once since it was opening weekend and everyone else broke their car. Hopefully take it to silver dollar with some Dr's and take the seats out and maybe remove some accesory belts to try for a 12.5

It is a 01 Z28 A4 With 2.73:1 gears. The mods consist of SLP lid with Fram filter, free mods ( air box cut out, descreened maf), and a flowmaster muffler replacing stock muffler (rest of the exhaust is stock), nitto 315/35/17 drags. I took it to HRP on 2/12/05 where it ran 2.029 60', and a 12.996 @ 108.55 1/4. This was achieved with a 1500 rpm brake launch the produced a bog on launch. I believe the nitto are hurting me do to the 2.73, ever run is started off with a slight bog. I made 3 passes a 12.996,13.000,13.060 speed hovered around 108.40 to 108.55. These were all made in full weight car (3660 with me). I just picked the car up, first time to the track with this car.

Bone stock, I went 13.05 @ a little over 110 mph at the shittiest track in Ohio (Dragway 42). At a sticky track like Norwalk, I would have definitely seen 12's. Most racers from around Northeastern Ohio say that Norwalk is a good .2-.3 seconds better than 42.

I ran a 12.97 @ 108 at Quaker City Raceway in Ohio last year with a Lid, exhaust, and a pro 5.0 with a 2.04 60ft.

I recently moved to Florida and ran at Orlando Speed World (spinworld) and ran a 13.05 @ 109 with 2.17 60fts. i think i got 3 runs all 13.0s with 2.1s, that track is slippery imo, but dragway 42 in ohio is the worst, just dodge the potholes while you go down the track and in the burnout box and you might get a 12 second run!

i've never heard of such a thing- not BONE stock at least. link me to a thread or something, i believe the record is 12.8X for a bone stock ls1 car? there is always somebody making claim then you find out they had a few "small" modifications- well, ls1's take WELL to small modifications and ANY modifications makes it not stock.

I believe the 12.6 cars had pro drivers and they did a comp tune before they hit the track, but I have seen this before too, but I can in no way say I am a pro driver. I believe GMHTP did this in late 02 or early 03 with a non WS6 Formula.

12.45 @ 114.88 on a 1.83 60'. Lid, Pacesetters, Dual's, 12 bolt w/ 3.73's, subframes, LCA's. No tuning, running TR6's & full weight + the 12 bolt & a full 15# bottle of nitrous. -833' DA on a slick track, If I could have cut a 1.6x short I might have dipped into the 11's. I put my H/C in the day after I made that run so I didn't get a chance to run an 11 stock internal.
