Default Removing rear end without disconnecting brakes...having problems..

A bunch of people told me that I could swap rears and still leave the brakes lines hooked up so I didn't have to bleed anything. Well I have everything loose (calipers are hung out of the way), but I can't figure out how to get the LCA bracket that also holds the brake lines loose from the rear end housing. It is stretching and pulling everything, I can't seem to get them separated....am I missing something?

I am stalled out now and I wanted to get this done!

Thanks!

Are you referring to the emergency brake cable being attached to LCA bracket? If so, it just pushes in and the "fingers" lock it into place. Just get a small flat head screw driver and press a few of these "fingers" in and the cable should come off.

Good luck

Just took mine out 2 weeks ago. I rotated them out towards the bottom rear. Be sure the line itself is completely seperated from the housing. I had to pull/bend the lines a little to do this, but was pretty easy.

Swpped rear ends by myself with a 2 jacks and a jackstand in like 3 hours, just screwing around. Didn't crack a sinlge line open.
