Default Seats

On my drivers side, the bolster is going out. I guess the padding slid off it or something and I can feel a metal bar in there and it hurts my back/side. Anyway to fix it short of buying new seats or expensive recovering?

Take it apart and try to see what's causing it. Just be careful not to rip the material or anything like that. It's a major PITA to take off the cover.

You'll have to take the seat cover off and repair the damaged area with new foam. You'll have to attach a few layers of foam with interior adhesive (about $10 per can). Takes some time, but nothing hard IMO.

It's pretty simple. Once you take the seat out, take the slider off, and you will see how the cover mounts. Unclip it, and roll/pull it off carefully.

OK Gotcha, I just gotta take the seat out to see. I think my old car had that,a little bar and the material has a long clip that holds it to the bar. Thanks.

its not that hard to fix. My father does upholstery and I've seen him do some serious stuff on car seats. Hard to say how to fix it till you see whats wrong.

Ok I peeled it up. The foam piece actually tore or split and the metal bar came through. How can this be fixed?
