Default G5x3 on a 112 or 114 for best n/a and spray setup?

Hey guys,

G5x3 on a 112 or 114 for best n/a and spray setup? Now I hear they both clear. Whats a better setup for me for on and off the bottle. The ulimate goal is to have some afr 225 heads and a forged lower with a big shot. But for this year at least cam only.

Was looking at the g5x4 also but seems like it may be TOO big for a car that see's the street more than the track.

Thanks

Setting a camshaft up for nitrous will compromise your n-a performance. Cruising down the street, that large exhaust lobe (for nitrous) is a sacrifice of valve events.

I know Louis was standing up for those 2 camshafts, but does a great cylinder head like the 225 need that much cam? Especially for a street driven Vette.

Tony @ AFR recommends Comp's 224/228 profile w/ the 205's. So what would be optimal for an even more efficient head...

I understand what your saying.
But I do want the car to be straight up NASTY on spray.

Im liking the g5x4 because everyone is saying it will be CRAZY on the spray.

G5x4 on a 114. What do you guys think for a street car that see's track.

Or should I stick with the g5x3 on a 114.

Thanks.

the g5x3 makes good numbers on spray, i don't know the major differences between it and the g5x4 though..
