Default Sumitomo HTRZ's....Crappy Tire? Where to buy TT's?

Im looking at getting some TT2's very soon and have been shopping around a bit for tires also and have found Sumitomo's to be some of the cheapest out there. I know you get what you pay for, but I'm curious if anyone else uses them.

I have Sumitomo's now on my stock 16x8 wheels that were on the car when I bought it a month or so ago and they work great for just daily driving that I do. I don't do any drag racing or road racing or anything.

Is this a decent tire to go with?

Also, I've searched high and low for places with TT's and haven't found many. I of course found ebay and found a couple, but I'm always wary of buying from there. Anyplace else?

I had those tires briefly and they suck in the rain. Otherwise, they are decent "drive 'em around" tires.

I've only got about 20 miles on my htrz ii's, and they were in 40 degree weather. Acceleration seems pretty decent. Got pretty sideways on a turn I take everyday at pretty much the same speed. Hoping they improve in both area's once weather warms up.

Thank you kindly. I appreciate the link. I see that right now he only shows a set of 4 9.5" wheels. Did you go with the 11" in back? What, if any, is the lip size difference on the 9.5" and opposed to the 11"?

Yeah, he has 11's out back.

Ron's is the cheapest place I've ever seen TT2's.

I have Sumitomo HTRZ's and I have been very pleased with them. If you don't want to spend a great deal of money on tires, they are a good choice.

Give them a call and they will list them for you. The front lip is ~3.5" and the rear lip is about ~4.25".

Thank you again. I appreciate your response greatly. Hope to have them bought soon! Thanks and I hope my 2000 Black TA looks as good as your Camaro does with the TT2's.
