Rev limiter on ls6 cam and 918 springs?
Like the title says, can I get a definitive rev limit for this combo? I finally bought a tuner 'cause I'm changing out the gears. I tried using the search function but can't find a satisfactory answer. By the by, the car also has 115k miles on the clock, so I'm trying to be reasonable.
TIA,
David

So like you said, use the dyno to pick the sweet spot.

Just like the two before stated, your horsepower will drop off before the valvetrain becomes an issue. I have a TR224 cam and 918s and set my limiter to 6800 but when I used to race I would set the shiftlight closer to 6400 so by the time the eye told the brain to shift, it would be right around 6600.

Want to be a tad more aggressive? 6600... with 6500 power shifts

With an LS6 cam, I figure you'll probably want to shift at 6300-6400, so I'd set the limiter for 6600. The Comp 918s will be more than enough to handle that for a good long time...

For an A4 the best way to set the shift points is trail and error while live data logging.
Basicaly you will set your shifts to keep the highest amount of max hp powerband between shifts.
