Default Newb to nitrous, have some questions.

Whats up guys,
I have done a search and read the FAQ on nitrous but I still have some questions. Im thinkin about a dry kit for my car, it an M6 and I understand I need a window switch and full throttle switch. What I dont understand does it know what gear to engage the nitrous? I imagine you wont want to spray through 1st and 2nd cause you wont gain any traction? When do most of you guys spray? what rpms and gears? Sorry for my ignorance...

Thanks

although i have an A4 i spray right out of the whole, and all the way through. But with an M6 you really need a window switch to ensure that it cuts off before it gets too high of RPM, you also want a full throttle switch (WOT) to make sure it cuts off while you are shifting. if you have neither of those you are asking for trouble=blown intake!!!

oh yeah, depending on traction, you might want to spray in first but for sure you want to spray in second, traction should not be a problem above that.
