Engine now has high pitched whine

Engine now has high pitched whine I have a 99 Camaro SS M6 with about 60k and lately the engine has started to whine. The whining is noticeably more pronounced around tighter corners at slightly higher RPM's. I thougth maybe it was the power steering or even the synchros, but it whines constantly, even when the car is stopped in neutral and I just rev it. If yall have experienced this before or could give me some advice on where to begin to fix this, I would definitely appreciate it.

I have had a couple of expieriences with a whine...first one was the drivers side idler pully.....It had a catastrophic failure on a friday the 13th that stranded me for a few hours. Next was a whine from a amw catch can.
