I saw in my auto store a "conditioner Sponge" you know the good ones on a stick which i thought was a good idea. was the car twice and use 2 buckets one to wash and then dip it in just reg water to rinse off the salt. then back in the soap. so you never get dirt in your soap.

When go to the car wash, I go late when no one is there and take my own sponge and bucket of soapy water. I've never used an automatic car wash or any of the brushes they have in the self-serve bays.

I rinse the car first really well and then use microfiber towels with a good car wash soap.

That usually gets everything. Microfiber is great for washing, and like stated, never put a dirty towel back into the clean soap.

Just dry it off really good right after washing it. Or try running it thru an express carwash (if you have any around your area) that has spunges that scrub your truck.

After my vehicles are washed & dry, I use some detailing spray & cotton towels (RainX spray wax works, as well). This removes the grime that washing leaves behind. You just have to make sure you keep turning the towels over so you always have a clean towel rubbing on the paint finish.
