<.550 Lift Cams Waste Stock LS1 Head Potential?
I've got a 232/236 cam with a .548/.552 lift on a 112.
Is having a cam with a lift such as this going to waste away the potential of the stock heads since they continue to increase flow to .600?

Seems like a question for some type of ASE exam. I agree that your cam has a lot of duration for such mild lift, which seems strange and it probably is not the "best" cam for stock heads.

If that's the case, it's not the best cam for any application wouldn't you say? Aftermarkets are only going to flow more. I haven't put the cam in because I want to do it right the first time, however I bought it for cheap and will install it if I'm not sacrificing much power.
How much power do ya'll think I'd be giving up by going with this cam instead of a cam of the same duration with 600 lift?

If this is going to be a cam-only car with otherwise stock longblock, trying to make maximum hp, then I would go with something like the Trex cam. I would also PM some of the top cam-only guys and ask them.
