Default Headers and tuning

Which should I have done first? Bryan@PCMforless will be doing my tuning since he's local. Should I have him go ahead and do his thing since I won't be doing the headers until spring? Or should I wait for the header install?

I wouldnt tune until the headers are on. It would be a waste really, to do it twice.

Possibly. It depends on how your car reacts to the headerss. I know for LT's, it is pretty common to see cars needing a tune due to the car running rich.

I haven't heard anything about Bryan's tunes on the LS1. Keep us posted. I'm interested in how he does. I know he all but nails mail orders for LT1's, and excellent customer service. Also, I wouldn't worry about a tune for performance when just bolting up some headers, but if you use an off road y pipe, remove your EGR and/or AIR you will throw codes which a quick PCM edit will remove.

Do you plan on doing a lot to your car soon? If you plan on a cam, intake, ported TB, soon I would just wait till everything is done then get it tuned once.

Off of Byberry Road. Right down the street from Hulmeville Road.

No I don't. If anything I'll do a torque converter down the road. I financed my car and it's my daily driver...not going too nuts.

The reason why I'm having the tune done is because I need him to delete the rear O2's and turn my fans on earlier. Plus, even on stock cars his tune has great improvements. Plus he's local so I can get him to make changes easily with no down time with the car. Plus I think he allows a free update or two so IF I do change my plans I won't be shelling out a lot of money for more tuning
