Default 90mm intake?

Is the fast 90mm intake to much for a boltons car? Or should I go 78mm?

If you're going from an LS1 intake to the 78mm LSX, then it may be worth it.
If you have an LS6 intake already and want to go to a 78mm LSX, it's not worth it.

I love my new 90/90 setup, but then again my car is H/C. I have not read too much about 90mm's on bolt-on setups, so I can't comment on that.

In my opinion, the 90mm is not a good idea for a bolton car, UNLESS you plan on upgrading to heads/cam in the future. If you're sticking with boltons, get the LS6, it'll make all the power you need to.

I just got the 78mm LSX, had LS1 intake before. Car runs well, 377rwhp & 361 tq. I am planning to do a 402 next winter & figured the 90mm would be too much this year but I had to do something about the intake. Could have done an LS6 intake for half the price & paid the the big $$$ next year for the 90/90 setup. This way I can buy the 90mm TB & the top part of the LSX90 when I'm ready & the whole deal will net out about the same in the end as doing an LS6 this year & the LSX90 next year plus I'll have a marginally better setup this year.

One thing you have to remember though is you can always sell a LS6, I see em going used for $300 all the time, kinda hard to sell the top half of a fast. Just my opinion.
