Default Fuel pressure regulator vaccum line leak?

I just put in a speed inc fuel pressure regulator for my stand alone fuel system and fuel is leaking out of the vaccum line it's very slow, but it's comming out of there. is it hosed or is this supposed to be capped somehow?? any way to repair this if it's bad? looks like I can take it apart fairly easily...

There is supposed to be a diaphram that keeps the gas seperated from the vacum area. Sometimes these go bad and gas will seep into the intake or leak out the hose. It is deffinatlly a problem, but it should be easy to fix. You can take it apart to see if you can find the faulty part.

ok, took it apart, there is a small tear in the diaphram. would it be ok to just cap the line for now, so I can race today? bad idea?
