drill wheel for larger wheel studs?

drill wheel for larger wheel studs? can you drill something like a centerline telstar rim to put larger wheel studs in? i want to go to a 5/8's inch wheel stud but the rims are acorned for the stock size.... can't even put shanked lugnuts on it!
