Who has experience with the Patriot shaft mount rockers?

Default Who has experience with the Patriot shaft mount rockers?

Just curious how they are, if there's any issues (fitment, etc), and if they'd be a good choice for my new motor? I figure i'd go with the patriot's so long as there's no major issues cuz they're a great price! Suggestions are welcome on which rockers to go with, thanks guys!

There can't be any bad news if no one has bought them. I know of one person who had them, and he sold them before he put them on. They do require shorter pushrods and valve cover spacers. That means you'll need new/longer plug wires also.

So what's my best bet for an affordable set of shaft rockers that don't require shorter pushrods and valve cover spacers?

Well, it's gonna have a huge cam and rev pretty high and I heard the shafts are the best, just lookin for the best components at a decent price for my motor.

What is wrong with the stockers. I mean it's not like your going to see prolonged periods of 8k+ rpms. That is where a shaft mounted rocker would excel. I have heard nothing but issues with those on the ls1's. The stockers are good for 7k+ from my experience.

I don't know, I was gonna use the stock one's temporarily, but I figured I might be able to gain some durability at the least with some aftermarket one's.

Define big cam? Most of the best sponsors on this site stick with the stockers. If you want something a bit more sturdy, get the remanned stockers from Harlan Sharp.

Well, i'm building a 374, i'm not sure the exact specs on the cam yet, i'm calling up futral tomorrow and gonna see what he suggests exactly, but i'm lookin at something in the area of high 250's int and low 260's exh with .620 - .630 lift on a 110 or 112.

I Am Going With Comp Adj. Rockers But I Am Also Putting Soild Lifters I Need Them For The Adjustments So I Don't Have To Shim Stock Bars

I have a set I am going to use on my 403 as I will have a solid cam. They appear well made. The geometry at the pushrod end seems like it is going to be a little steep and I will maybe need to open up pushrod holes some and cover problems I hear. If the geometry part is ok I think they will be fine...if it isn't I will be getting my money back.

If you are not going solid roller you can run the non-adjustable jesel shaft mounted rockers, they are really nice and run about 600 bucks, if you want to adjustability you can run the Jesel J2k's and those run about 1200 bucks
