Default before I put the heads on...

I noticed there is a slight knotch in between the cylinder chambers. you can feel it if you run your finger over it. I'm not sure if its going to hurt anything. These heads are used and from the inprint of the old gaskets it looks like this piece is right in between the chambers and is not part of either of them. I will try to get some pics up today. Any suggestions? Comments?

Yes the 853 head on the 99-00 has a notch in the head.Be sure to get the right year because the newer gaskets are different. People has run into that before and the head gasket has leaked. That would have to suck to do it again!
