stupid gutting cats question

Default stupid gutting cats question

i know the pass. side cat is easy to gut but is there a way to gut the driverside cat without taking it off? or is there an easy way of getting the cat off?
any info will be much apprieciated.

I did it the easy way; bought a pair off somebody else
for dirt cheap, and worked them over on the driveway
with a long drill bit (to start some fracture lines) and a
crowbar. Use some Rust-Eater / Kroil / Liquid Wrench on
your pup-cat nuts a couple of evenings in a row and
you should be able to get them off without damaging /
stripping them.

The crud I got out of those cats, esp. the asbestos
brick-wrapper, I wouldn't want ending in my muffler.
Besides, the inlet side of the cats can use some relief
on sharp edges if you want less of a dog-whistle (rasp)
