Question adding stock 6.0 heads to my setup

how much should i gain going from stock 5.7 heads to the stock 6.0 heads?? its a full bolt on with a ls6 intake, f10 cam and is currently at 377hp 371tq?? Just want to know if its worth it...i got a good deal on them so I want to know if I should get them

Don't put them on if they are just stock castings. The 6.0's have a 72cc combustion chamber which will lower your compression way down into the 9's. You would probablly loose hp if anything. If they were milled, and bigger valves were installed I could see a gain, but stock for stock, you will loose.

you'd have to mill .030 to get back to stock compression. assuming a stock gasket.

mind explaining a bit more?? or tell me if it would be a good choice to get them?? I dont know if Id have enough to get some from the sponsors so I may just upgrade to better stockers..like the ls6 heads.

You would deffinatlly need to mill them .030, install bigger valves w/valve job, and have the bowls blended into the new valve. Even then the gains would not be signifigant enough to warrant swapping heads. If you got them ported along with the other stuff, then yea, I'd do it, but stock for stock, no way.
