Default 12bolt and 10bolt

I got a Moser 12bolt from a member on here and it has an electrical connector in the center of it. I am guessing it is for speed sensor.
The brakes he included are stock LS1 brakes and I notice his dont have any electrical connectors on the ends...sort of on the brakes themselves.

My stock rear end has connectors on each side of the it.
What are the connectors on each side for? His dont have them.

His is an 01 car, mine is a 00. Are the brake setups different?

It seems to me that my speed sensors are on the ends of the rear and on the Moser it is in the center.

Anyone know what I am talking about? I am about this

Leave the censor in the middle alone, Put your brake backing plates on it and your gonna need to get a set of moser axles with the ABS rings on them. Your buddy sold you a 3 chanel axle and you have a 4 chanel with reaction control.

His car did have ABS and no Traction Control. Your ABS and Traction control are done by the individual sensors on each side. You have to get Moser axles with the exciter rings for your ABS to function. I just installed a Moser 12-bolt in my 4-channel ABS/TCS car and I had to order the axles with the exciter rings. My car did NOT have the sensor in the center. There is no way around this if you want the ABS system to function.

I sort of understand, but how is it that his car could use the ABS and mine cannot? BC his has a 3 channel system? Does this mean that 01 cars have 3 chan and 00 cars have 4 channel? I think he told me I just need to plug in that harness in the middle of the rear end

Those cars with ABS (guy who sold you the rear) only have the sensor on top of the pumpkin. Those cars that have both ABS and TCS (your car) have the sensors on the axles, no pumpking sensor. It has nothing to do with what year your car is, just the options it had (ABS & TCS, or just ABS). If you want your ABS and TCS to work, you'll have to buy the new axles, otherwise you'll be without them and you'll have an light on your gauge cluster on. He told you to plug in the harness on top of the pumpkin probably because he was assuming you had a 3 channel like him.

Thanks man, makes complete sense now. Damn, how much is this going to cost? I just emailed Moser to find out about it...
