Default Cam choice help!

I am in the market for a cam but have no idea of what kinda to get. My goal is to run in the 11's with a stock bottom end. It's a daily driver in fact my only car soo it needs to be reliable too.

2001 camaro z28 m6

Mods so far are:
ls6 intake
SLP lid
hooker LT's
ORY
Rumbler on the way

dyno with current mods- 332 rwhp 348 rwtq

planing to get some drag radials soon and mount them on corvette rims.

So any suggestions would help. A local perforamce shop has a custom grind cam that they want to sell me but it's like 1,100 bucks!

Damn $1100 is that for installing it to! M6 would take a good launch to get in the 11s. A guy on here just put an FMS F14 in his car and run an 11.50s!

how deep into the 11's are you looking for and whats your current E.T/trap speed?

if it were me i'd forget the cam at this point and time and invest the money in a rear end and clutch.

well before you start throwing money at your car race your buddy and take your car to the track. more power != faster.

12 bolt or 9" with a gear set to match your application and power band.

why would i need to upgrade my rear. Is the stock one really that weak. Is it going to break with a motor under 500 hp. I can think of plenty of things i would much rather spend 1900 bucks on.

let me catch my breath

havent been around fbodies much have you . if your serious about drag racing a new rear is a must. i bet you that you could break your rear as is on a well prepped track, sticky tires, and a 6k clutch dump.

With proper suspension, drivetrain and tire, no need for a big cam to run 11's.

If you want to go at it *** backwards (like many of us do), throw a big cam like an TSP MS3, a Futral F14, or a TRex and enjoy some decent MPH traps hovering around the 11.9 - 12.1 sec. ET zone. At the very least get a good clutch and some Drag Radials, some 4.10's and pray before each launch.
