Paging Ellis
Jacked the car up tonight so I could attach the muffler to the hanger, took a look around for what may have caused the noise we heard Saturday night.
1. The band clamp is very close to the drive shaft even has a small scrape.
2. With the car on stands and the rear suspension released the balance weight on the front of the drive shaft is actually touching the drive shaft loop.
So when ever your ready I'd like to have you rework that cut-out and install it correctly 425 891-3426

If it helps you guys I am putting my car in the body shop for about a week on Monday. That means I won't have it back until maybe as late as 3/23 if the shop can't get money and parts from the insurance co.

Steve,
If it makes you feel any better, with the rear end hanging my DS hits the loop too. And if you are going to drive it out to Ellis's house, I would rotate that clamp down about 30* first so it doesn't rub on the DS. They ARE aluminum after all.
And I apologise if it was me that put the clamp on like that. I know better.....

I know all about that pain... I'm pretty sure the rubbing I'm getting from the bottom of the car is either my exhaust and/or driveshaft hitting my driveshaft loop... gonna have to get me another one, because mine is 'modded' to hell (read: hacked within an inch of its life) and it still doesn't want to fit with my 3" exhaust pipes.

When I took Ellis for a ride Saturday we heard a minor clunking sound. when we got back to parking lot really couldn't find anything, car's so low can't really see much. I put it up on stands to re-intall the hanger we did find, thought this bracket might be what we heard so I posted a picture to have Ellis grade my diagnostic work. I didn't see any marks on the driveshaft around the loop so I figured it was the supsension being released. I have not see anyones D.S. Loop installed so I was not sure how closely they fit around the D.S. The one I have is from Lakewood purchased thought Jegs
Thanks for the advice I will rotate that clamp before I drive it again.

Paging Speed Secrets
Oooops, now I've done it....I let the cat out of the bag. But hey, I am customer #1, so I get to brag, AND advertise, right?
(and if you have a design, I might be able to get some decals made for you)
Can you bring that LS1 fuel rail to Quiznos Saturday if you still have it? That way I can have Eric working on that without taking the car out of commission so I can bring it out to you next weekend.
Anyway, I've been thinking about the tranny parts we were talking about the other night Ellis. I think your idea is good. Put a 5 pin planetary up front where I'm going to be hitting it hard at the drag strip, and then leave the stock 4 pin in the back to give better oiling to keep it cooler on the open road course. It makes sense.
Do you think a different rear mount or barcket is needed? I see Yank pushing them now.
