Default LS1 and LS6 heads interchangable?

sorry im new to the ls1/6 and dont know alot of the products that are out for it.. i still have my GTP and im thinking about maybe getting a vette(c5) next ive seen the price go down lately since the c6 has come out..

Are all ls1/6 parts interchangable or if i got a Z06 would i have to buy z06 specific parts?.... but i dont see why they wouldn't be interchangable..

Thanks

They have the same block, so everything is pretty much the same. Only thing really different is heads, cam, intake manifold and a few other things, but you can replace your ls1 heads with ls6 heads. Same thing with the cam or intake manifold.
