Default Now Open!

I just read in the Seattle Times that the North Cascades Highway is now open as of today... time to start planning a cruise!

Damn, they opened WAAAAAAAAAAAY early this year. Usually it's closed by Thanksgiving, and doesn't open again until like April or May..

This year it was open until around Christmas, and it's opened back up now.

Man, this summer is gonna suck for water.

At least they were smart and did better about collecting the run-off early this year and rain water. still gonna suck. My parents already hate me cuz I wash the car once every week or so.

Let's try to plan this thing at least 2-3 weeks in advance so I can get out of working on that Saturday because there's no way in friggen' hell I'm gonna miss this one

PS the road is open right now, but there is still ice some places 10 inches thick on the roadway. It's as dangerous as it's ever been according to the people who live and work up there You wouldn't want to go this weekend that's for sure.

I'm thinking some time mid to late next month the temps up there should be a little more friendly to us blasting around...
