Rear end leak

Rear end leak I was wondering what usually causes rear end leaks or is it a sign of the rear end going out. I was think probably a gasket or something or is it something worse then that.

Most of them leak form the pinnion seal. I don't think I've seen one that didn't leak a little. If it's comming from the pinnion nothing to worry about. You can get the seal replaced pretty easy.

Yeah if ya get a new pinion seal put in make sure it has 20 inch pound to turn the pinion gear while it in in the housing by its self. Hadn't had any seals leaking after I got threw with them!Severl rears for years and NO LEAKS! Must be luck HU!
