Angry !WTF! Law guys in here. *Long but need advice.*

Okay this is becoming a pain in my ***. I took my tranny in to be rebuilt 2 months ago. I had it rebuilt because it would randomly slip outta gear and basically slip. So I had AAMCO rebuild it and it cost me $2000 to have it rebuilt. Well after I got it back it worked great for about 3,000 miles. Now it is doing the same thing that I took it in there for. They gave me a 1 year warranty with it so I took it back in. They looked at it and said everything was fine. I told them it usually takes 40 miles before it starts doing it. Now this is the important part. When I took the car in it was completly driveable and nothing was immediatly wrong. So i had them drive it 50 miles before it started doing it. They said it was an engine problem causing it. So he had me drive it, I took it about 10 miles and it started slipping really badly. They where looking at there scan tool and everything was fine lockup was engaging temps where right around 38-43 degrees C. But yet it was slipping like hell, so he had me pull over.
So he starts driving the 40 miles back to the shop and the whole time he was going 20 mph at 4500 rpm. He left it there all the way back so he was baking the ******* tranny the whole way back. He then parked it and about 4 minutes later he had me drive it off the lot with another technician. This time it got about 1 block down the road and i had no 3rd gear or 4th gear. (Go Figure) So he was like well lets hook a pressure test up to it and drive it some more. I was like hell no im tired of this cooking my tranny and my engine at the same time. So I left it there for the day so they can pull the tranny. They call me up today and said that they started driving down the road and it was running 225 degrees the whole time. I was like wtf that car never gets over 180 ever. The owner was riding in the car with me the day before and he saw it never got over that temp as well. So i asked how far did they drive it at 225 degrees he was like "U i don't know". I asked did the fans turn on he didn't know, I asked if the gauge ever moved he said no. I was like okay its running 225 degrees with no fans on and you didnt think to quit driving he said no.
Now im wondering if they have cooked my motor at that temp. The radiator is full and the fans do work. I had him replace the thermostat to see if it still does the same thing. But now im like great now im gunna have to probably buy a new motor because of the over heating. And they will have to rebuild the tranny. What should I do and what is the possibilty of frying my motor. I don't think it really ran that hot because they couldn't hear water boiling and they didn't see any steam coming from engine. What should i do plz give me some advice do i have any legal action since the car came in there driveable and not overheating and it is in the state of not driveable and overheating.

lesson #1. NEVER take your car to a shop with little or no experience with these type of cars.

Actually the guy he did the rebuild on the tranny has a 550 hp 00 T-A that he drives to work. And he used to build tranny's for the AAMCO race team so he knows what he's doing

225 will not cook your motor. The second fan doesn't even come on stock until around 230 or so.

Okay so it won't cook my motor but my car has never even gotten close to that temp before. It always runs at 170 all the time. Hell even with very low coolant in the system it still ran at 170. I mean wtf.

Do you have tuning? Stock low fan engage is 226* High engage is around 240 If they are driving around in 2nd it'll reach that temp in no time. Forget that place, have it towed somewhere else. GM over the counter transmissions are approx 1300 and have a 3yr/36k warrenty.

AAMCO is not known for customer satifaction. A family member had a transmission of theirs go out 12,500 miles after getting rebuilt, but guess what, it only had a 12,000 mile warrenty and they wouldn't budge on a free rebuild.

Well it's under warranty and it's obvious the trans is cooked. Make them rebuild it and honor the same warranty.

Have them rebuild the tranny! If they don't, file a small claims lawsuit against them. That is your best route!
