Default Oil Temp. Gauge

K guys.. I added my oil temp gauge where most of you recommend. In the adapter on the oil filter. i was just wondering...... is it normal for the temp to get up to 250???? My water temp never gets above 210. I was wondering if my longtubes had an affect on the temp sender.

LOL..... I had it in the other one and no one answered. I got the original info here about gauges and mounting it so I figure I ask the guys with the gauges.

This is probably one of the best places to ask...anyway, no oil should not be that hot under normal driving. Mine stays around 210 and if I start to play a little it may reach 250

I don't get it though. My water temp is the same as everyone elses and I have no coolant issues.

And your oil temp stays around 250? Strange... your oil isn't low is it? And what kind of oil are you running? Brand and weight??

No the temp just gets up there after like 30 min. of driving. I use Mobil 1 oil and its full.

Dunno man. Maybe the gauge or sender is bad?
