Why is the LS1 slow to rev down?

Why is the LS1 slow to rev down? When I rev the LS1 engine, it revs fast but why does it take a while for it to rev down?

Where is this throttle motor you speak of?

There's only a cruise control motor on the throttle cable. If you took that off and watch it while revving the engine it does not do anything at all. Even revving it manually by roating the throttle blade bellcrank, it still does it. I believe it has to do with the injectors and the PCM controlling it.

Re: Why is the LS1 slow to rev down? when mine is cold or colder it doesnt do this which leads to choppy shifting kinda
when hot it stays up there which I think makes it easier to shift faster and smoother when power shifting
