Default 4l60e/12 bolt guys come in!

I know that you're supposed to measure the driveshaft on every application and that every car's a little different, but here's the deal:

I need to know if there's a general dimension I can give ACPT for my carbon fiber shaft that they can go off. It takes 2 weeks to build a DS and I don't want to wait until the rearend comes in. (Another 2 weeks)

I'll be using 1350 U Joints and the shaft is a 3.8 OD if that makes a difference.

I was told by a reputable shop that I can simply get a shaft 1/2' shorter than stock and it'll be fine. Do you agree?

Thanks in advance.

Stock length worked for me also. If you use adjustable controls arms you can always adjust them out to move the rearend back some.

Sweet! I had a guy named Carl build it for me. I think it should be okay.

Hey Craig, you should buy my fighter off of me.

If I'm getting a 1350 U Joint on the rear, do I have to have the same on the Driveshaft? I'm stupid.

The u joint goes in the driveshaft, and you use the caps to connect it to the rear. Very easy.

With the stock driveshaft you will need a 1310/1350 cross over u-joint. Napa sells them.
If your gonna have one made, you can specifiy you want a 1350 end on the driveshaft when it's made.

I had to have .75 inches taken off my stock driveshaft when I installed my 12-bolt rear with the 1350 yoke. The stock shaft fit but, left almost no gap for suspension travel. I guess every car is a little different.
I had a Denny's driveshaft built and, measured per their website and, it was just about an inch shorter than the stock shaft.

Thanks, ACPT said the standard is .75 shorter than stock. I went with the Colonel style shaft.

Thanks again guys.
