Generation IV Internal Engine - LS7 Oil Pan on an LS2?

Does anyone know with certainty if an LS7 oil pan can be mated to an LS2 block? I would like to know because I have read that the LS7 oil pan uses an integrated dry sump pump system, and would like to use it on an LS2 block instead of an aftermarket option.
Is this possible? Searches revealed results for using an LS2 pan on an LS1/6, but nothing for my specific situation.

It will most likely bolt up but remember, the LS7 uses a dual sprocket oil pump drive on the crank to drive two oil pumps which the LS2 does not have so unless you use an LS7 style crank I'm not sure how you could get it to work as designed by the Factory!

Actually, the LS7 uses a single sprocket like the LS2; I have a picture that illustrates this. Both stages of the pump are driven by one sprocket and shaft.
As for the drive type, it should be the same as the LS2, since the drive sprocket position is identical. If it is not, I plan on using a custom crank anyway, so I will just have it made to spec for compatibility.
The other issue that I was concerned about (and have no more worries about anymore) is the difference between pump lengths between the LS2 and LS7. Since the LS7 uses a 2 stage pump, this pump should protrude out further from the front of the engine, and perhaps 'not fit in the block' properly. Upon closer inspection of both LS2 and LS7 cutaway shots, I see that the pump is not located inside the block at alll, but rather externally in the front, behind the timing housing cover.
I would need to use the LS7 timing cover to ensure enough room for pump fitment.
The last issue that appears to need assesment again deals with compatibility between block and pan: proper lineup of the oil passageways between the block and pan. I would assume that they would be identical, but I would like confirmation that the discharge port of the secondary pressure stage is compatible with the block oil gallery that would accept the pressurized oil.

I hope to use the LS7 pan, pump, and cover on my LS1. :)
Did you ever figure this out? I'm wanting to run a dry sump on my LS1.
