Default Grand Am Cup cam...

Is this cam any good at making power? I am looking for a cam that would be good for autoX, and I saw an autoX'er mention it. What power would this cam, some stage 2 heads, headers and boltons make?

Thanks

Its not going to be as peaky as most of the off the shelf cams. You will make better area under the curve than most though. DONT be expecting mega hp out of this one. I am going to be running it with my new motor here soon. I am going to run some 1.85 rockers on it to try an increase the "lift" and try to get a bit more out of it.

Also:
Under 3 grand its going to be a bit of a dog. Once it gets beyond 4 its going to want to run straight to 7500 and not stop. so you'll have to be on your toes when it comes time to shift. This cam is made for road race conditions so its going to want to live in the upper RPMs.

I am going to have the GAC with a 14:1 compression motor with a killer set of heads. Yeah..............its going to be a spinner.

Holy crap!! How is it even possible to get this huge *** cam to even idle in an A4!!!?? Good lord. This cam is a monster, and lopes like crazy. RPM range is what, 4000-7400? Wow. There's only one soundclip of it on ls1sounds, I'd sure love to hear another.
This should be awesome at autoX, the torque line will be FLAT.

It will probably be pretty close to it. Big duration cams with narrow LSA's are pretty tough to get to idle. Even harder on an A4 car. He MIGHT have his idle down in the 1000-1200 area but I dont think so. Could be wrong though.
