Default Its just a LT1..but a new best

Still having issues though. Looks like my clutch is giving up now and the car just wouldn't 60'. It felt like I was riding a converter out. Best I could get was a 1.49 for the night. I kept raising the launch rpm but nothing helped...went too high on one run and I though I was spinning untill a guy that watched the run said it dead hooked...I was pedaling it trying to get the tires to hook..lol. The clutch slipped on every gear change bad on that run (10.85 @ 127.29 on a 1.58 60'). The car was pushing in the lights bad when I brought the rpms up also...another sign of a clutch giving up. I pushed all the way out one run and got no time.

Best run of the night 10.77 @ 127.65 on a 1.509 60'. Still have a high end problem so I was once again short shifting. But Its getting better the more crap I change One day I will have a clean pass...prolly when its nice and 150 deg. on the track in the middle of the summer

Very nice run. It's always nice to see lt1s putting up good numbers. Care to share your combo?

Tim..yea yea..but I'm having so much fun. Its nice to just run for the fun of it again.

DMcRacer Yea..its not doing too back for a little lt1 with GM heads.

Dave, its a 355, 6 speed, solid roller motor. Heads are GM LT4 casting that were ported by a local guy..Steve Stumph(most know him by SAR2K). I'm running 4.71s and the race weight on these runs were in the 3320 range. Also running on streight pump gas..no mixing. It made 454 rwhp last dyno but I haven't tuned it yet..there is still some HP left in it. You can find my setup at www.geocities.com/herrint

Chad..no..the night before. The NMCA EFI class decided to charge too much to enter for such a small payout. So I passed. Its just glorified bracket racing anywy since its a handicaped index class.

Brian...hmmmm..yea..I guess I could blame ya. It was fine untill you got it sticking hard. Honestly..this clutch has ALOT of passes on it...along with my slicks. I think they are both giving up on me. On to bigger and faster. Oh..I need to talk to you about some things. When can I call ya.

Bizzatch...thanks ..I think I will.

Tim,

Man you're making this 355 cu. battle harder. Cut me a break.
Nice runs. Hope you get if straightened up soon. My new setup is coming out soon. But then again I will probably go slower when you go faster.

Good luck

Ken

Ken...Cut you a break...lol..ya..sure. I doubt your new combo will have any trouble with little ole me. I have a hard enough time keeping up with you auto guys without cutting breaks. At least we are playing with the same cubes. In the lt1 6 speed world I'm in dukin it out with storker motors and after market heads...i'm haveing a blast Good luck with your new setup.

Blackz93, I haven't decided if I'm going or not.
