Default 02 WS6 goes 12's with lid ONLY

So I take the ole WS6 out to Beech Bend yesterday to get some baseline times before the modding starts. Mods in sig with Yokahama ES100 STREET tires. First FULL pass I ran it went 13.133@107.66 with a 2.076 60ft, and I say that because I was sweating in the car with the windows up and my hand was wanting to slip off the shifter on the shifts

I get that problem solved by holding my hand in front of the A/C vent til the last second before I did my burnout seemed to work well. I backed that run up with these times:

13.170@107.40 2.069 60ft
13.144@107.92 2.065 60ft
13.074@108.44 2.071 60ft
12.992@108.96 2.050 60ft

I had a great time talking to friends and fellow LS1TECH members Darryl Stevens(Dustin Butts) and Brian Patterson(Unbelievabls1)

The stock clutch was holding me back as it would slip some during the first 60ft before it held completely, which kept me from getting the 60ft times any lower. It would however hit 2nd HARD everytime so it was definately holding at that point.

I'm very happy to say the least to have brought the car into the realm of 12's with a "basically" stock car. Big thanks to Brian for the support and tips along the last few runs and for believing I could pull it off.

Thanks, it's nice to know where you started and how far along you've came over time. I never knew what my last car ran in the 1/4 stock and I always wondered what it would have done.

First off.............BIG CONGRATS man!!!! You worked your but off yesterday to get it! You were out there getting to know the car, learning how it liked to be driven, and look how it payed off for you on the last run of the day.

Lol......just think though, what if you would have hit the gears right on that run a couple of runs before your last one, might have been a 12.89 by looking at your 330's!!

Once again, congrats man, and I'm just glad I was there to see ya do it.

Way to go Brian!!! I didnt know we could go that fast stock!! LMAO I know I am under estimating the LS1, I just cannot wait to get back and start on my mods as well.

I may be changing up on companies. I am going for better pay, better benifits, and retiement plan. Going to be making about 120 if all goes right. Keep your finger's crossed, and we will see what come for Christmas or your B-day!!
