Question Setting Up MAFT #'s

Need a estimate or a how-to on setting the numbers up for my MAF- Translator. Heads,cam,LS6 intake,30lb SVO inj.,PCM,stock MAF. The engine seems to surge sometimes at idle too ? Thanks

Don't waste your time with the MAFT. I will not give you the best results with your mods. You need full engine tuning with LS1Edit or HPTuners. The MAFT is good for a stock motor with minor intake mods.

The MAFT was a bandaid used before LS1-Edit became available to trick the PCM. I have one sitting in storage.

If I remember correctly, you set both base and WOT to zero. Then you adjust the base dial according to your LTFT's. Once your LTFT's go to zero at WOT, you're done with the base. Now adjust the WOT dial to the setting which gives you the desired AFR using a wideband sensor. The WOT will only effect RPM's above 3500.
