Question Need Advice?

Im thinking of changing my 2.73 gears, in my A4 vette, for 3.42's or 3.73's? I don't know for which to go with. My car will be daily driven. I would also like know what would my quarter mile gains be?

I'd go with the 3.42's. since its a daily driven car. you shoudl expect to see a nice gain out of the new gears, reguardless of which ones you go with

Do you still have a stock 10 bolt? If so I would just wait untill you upgrade to the 9" 12 bolt because you will have to get gears then. Your gains wont be worth the risk as 10 bolts are already weak.

Yeah i still have the stock 10 bolt, im hoping that new gears would get me in the 12's b/c my best run at the track was a 13.1x in the quarter mile.

Go with the 3.42's and a nice 3500 stall torque converter.

Do you max out all your gears now?
You can calculate the differences here

well it might drop your absolute top speed by a cople of miles but when was the last time you raced anyone to like 160-170 miles an hour it doesnt hapen everyday, you could always go with 3.42 they will be a great inprovement over what you got now, but 3.73 are a good improvement over the 3.42, then again 4.10 are also an improvement over the 3.73 so you get my drift, just go with what you think will fit you best.
