Default I need your opinion...engine colors???

I am starting to second guess one of my color choices I had for my engine comparment. I just saw my intake and coil brackets that were painted BMW Charcoal Grey Metallic. This is slightly darker than "Steve's 69" Intake color. The color looks good, but I was going with black as the other color for the valve covers and tb. I really don't think the black will be enough contrast to set the parts apart. So inshort, I don't know what to do about the black. What color do you guys think would look great as a color for the valve covers and tb that would compliment the dark charcoal grey metallic as well as go with a red vert SS. I can't polish the tb because it has been ported to 78 mm which involves jb weld.

Would you guys give me your opinions. Would red look bad for the valve cover and tb? What other colors would look good with a dark charcoal grey metallic?

Have you considered red? I think it should work in a red car. Otherwise, stick with black.

Thanks guys for all the input. I decided to change to a lighter charcoal grey metallic. I think the color before left out the grey all together and was more charcoal in color. Will post up some pics when these come back.

Going to paint one set of covers red to see if I like since I have two sets of valve covers.

Can you use MS paint or something to get an idea of what it will look like?
