You just can't win racing 4 cylinder imports! It seems that whenever you race an import you can't ever just win.....If he beats you which is really rare, then everyone is gonna talk trash about getting beat by a four or six cylinder......then if you do kill one, which most f-bodys and especially my 89gt in sig will do....then everyone at the track says oh well you beat a four cylinder...big deal......What gives?
Example: Trash Talking TT supra wants to run my GT, I whip him pretty bad, and i get no props.....Everyone says i beat a 6 so big deal.....The supra ran low 11's

Those are called excuses, they have millions of them. I think they actually get a book of them when they purchase there wing and stickers. He knew you had 2 more cylinders when he challenged u.

I posted a turbo RSX kill a while back on here, but I was constantly checking clubrsx.com to make sure a different twist on the story didn't show up. Guess he wasn't into the internet too much, but I was just waiting for him to say "Damn man, I hung with an SS" since he was "only" about two cars behind by 100.

Honestly im not an import fan...I love V8s and american cars...but i am like you I give respect where respect is due. I have seen many supras and 3000gts and such that where very impressive...I do not give credit to those "Ricers" with the 17 sec aluminum wing stickered up 5" exhaust cars. I just wish that they would either step up to their challenges and accept defeat, or just stick to racing each other.
I would like to give you guys Kudos I have heard very little if any insults to my type of race car(foxbody 5.0 gts) from the f-body guys. I think that most of you are like me and give the Grand Nationals and the 5.0s their respect for their time. I own my gt and my o1 ws6 and cant wait to get the ws6 into some good numbers thanks

GNs, when you can still find them, whip some ***.
Foxbodys will still be dangerous for at least the next 10 years. I mean seriously, you can get 10s out of a foxbody SO cheap.
I don't care how many cylinders it has, if I beat a supra, I'm stoked. Hell, if I beat an sti or an evo, I'm quite happy.
Hey, next time you beat an import and they give you the "so what, you've got 2 (4) more cylinders" you should give them "well yeah, but you've got a higher hp/liter effeciency and a higher redline than me" (even if it isn't true), just to throw back in their faces the same bullshit we've been hearing from them for years.
BTW, if an 11 second supra is rice, then I've got a lot more to fear from rice than I thought.

Ive had the opportunity to drive some fast fwd imports, and to be honest, even when they are making 250+ whp, they are still just stupid. Its all a bunch of tire smoke and torque steer. You'd have to go from a 80 mph roll to make it worth the while. But I agree with the orginal post, its a no win situation. I try to avoid bothering with ricers when at all possible.

I have had quite a few V8 owners make the "I dont have boost" excuse.

....i hate screwin with ricers b/c if u dont leave them sittin there by bus lengths....they "hang" with u...not to mention ur riskin ur ride on a pety race that u know u have the victory with
