Default Silverstars are awesome...but what about fog lights

Just put in some Silverstar bulbs for my low-beams....why the hell didn't I do this years ago...they are awesome!! Do they make these bulbs for the fog lights?? It doesn't look too bad right now, but it would look better if it matched 100%. Do they make Silverstar bulbs for anything else on the Camaro. I did a search, but didn't really come up with anything useful. Thanks guys!!

Check out their website and see if they have them for the bulb number of your foglights.

foglight bulb is 894, good luck finding them on the net. i tried a local part store and they had them, $20 a piece. i have heard the 893's also work fine, but the connector just isnt at a 90 degree bend like the 894, otherwise it fits fine. silverstar makes bulbs to replace anything on your car, check thier site.

Normally the cause for this is that they get touched and the oils from our hands/skin get on them and cause them to over heat.
Although this might not be your case

When installing you have to make sure you clean them before they go in.
Just cheap insurance. I've heard of people going on 2 years on theirs.
But all in all, it is a light bulb, and you know how that goes.

I just ordered a sealed beam conversion from eurolamps so I can run Silverstars in my low beams.

I might get a kit with different housings so I can run Silverstars and not melt the housings.

I am desparate for some better headlights though. Not being able to see is freakin annoying.

I was under the impression that SilverStars ran cooler then normal Halogen.

Nope. They run just as hot.

Like mentioned above, never touch the glass of a halogen bulb or HID bulb. They run really hot. The oil residue that your hands will leave on the glass will cook and lead to damage, significantly shortening the life of the bulb.
