Default 5 X 120.65 vs 5 X 120 bolt patern

So if the EVO wheels people have on there cars are 5 X 120 and work on our cars , is it ok to get any wheel with that bolt patern? The reason im asking is this gives me ALOT more options in wheels brands and styles . I mean until now I have not even looked at rims with 5 X 120 pattern. Sorry if this is a touchy subject here.

One fits a Camaro or TA, and the other fits the GTO or BMW . . .

Hub rings have nothing to do with bolt patterns . . .
